The Harford Recovery Center, which opened its doors on September 3rd, 2021, has become a crucial resource for those affected by substance use. Since launching our Syringe Service Program in July 2022, we have made significant progress by partnering with the Problem Solving Courts to assist individuals struggling with substance use. We provide essential transportation services, including rides from the detention center for those most at risk of overdose and transportation to recovery supports. Additionally, we offer Narcan training to local stakeholders and community members, and we extend outreach and support to local substance treatment programs and sober living organizations. Our active participation in community events and collaboration with community partners and law enforcement further enhances our efforts. By working together, we are dedicated to building a stronger, more supportive, and healing community while striving to prevent overdose deaths and help individuals find their path to recovery.
