Family & Friends Support Services at VoH
Peer Recovery Specialists at VoH are trained to provide Recovery Support services to family and friends of individuals impacted by substance use disorders.
Supporting family members is really important because it helps them handle the stress and emotions that come with helping a loved one through tough situations like addiction or mental health issues. This support makes relationships stronger and more caring, helps family members cope better, and builds their ability to face challenges. It also helps them feel less alone, prevents problems like health issues or arguing, and makes them better at supporting their loved one. Plus, when family members take care of themselves, everyone can heal together, creating a more positive atmosphere for all.
Family & Friend Resources
Every Tuesday at 6:30 pm at our Cecil Recovery Community Center, family and friends meet to support each other on the journey of recovery. Awakening to Hope involves learning, exploring and discussion at this open meeting. All are welcome!
Voices of Hope is not affiliated with any of the below Recovery Fellowships and this is for information purposes only:
Other community Recovery Support Groups for Family and Friends in Cecil and Harford Counties include Al-Anon, Nar-Anon and Families Anonymous.

“GRASP is a compassionate community for those affected by addiction-related loss, where individuals can connect with others who truly understand their pain. The stigma around these types of losses often leads to isolation, but GRASP offers a space where no one has to grieve alone. Through shared experiences, we find healing and strength together.”
