Congratulations to Sherry – Our Newest Recovery House Alumni!

We are incredibly proud to celebrate the journey of Sherry, a recent resident and now Alumni of our Recovery House Program, who has successfully transitioned into independent living. Her story is one of resilience, growth, and unwavering determination—truly embodying the essence of recovery.

When Sherry first joined our program, she faced significant legal challenges, including outstanding warrants in multiple states. Instead of letting fear hold her back, she courageously took the necessary steps to resolve these matters, demonstrating her commitment to becoming a responsible and law-abiding citizen.

In addition to overcoming these obstacles, Sherry remained steadfast in her goal of reuniting with her children. She worked diligently to regain her Maryland driver’s license and now proudly owns her own vehicle—both essential milestones on her path to stability and independence.

Throughout her time with us, Sherry actively utilized financial planning tools like the Budget Sheet and Financial Goal Sheet to build a strong foundation for her future. She also played a key role in uplifting those around her, fostering a positive and supportive environment within her recovery network and participating in community unity events.

Now, as an Alumni Resident living independently, Sherry carries with her the skills, values, and perseverance she developed throughout her recovery. However, with new financial responsibilities, she is in need of essential household items to help her get started.
