Stephen Hawkins
Cecil Recovery Center

Stephen Hawkins is a person in recovery dedicated to helping others overcome the barriers of behavioral health disorders. Through my own struggles with substance use, homelessness, and various related issues, I was introduced to the world of recovery on December 14, 2019. Since then, I have learned a great deal about myself, including how to be a positive member of my community, what true relationships look like, and how to be someone my family can depend on. During this time, I discovered a passion for helping others facing similar challenges and emotions.

In March of 2021, I was introduced to Voices of Hope, and it couldn’t have been a better fit. Today, I oversee operations in Cecil County, ensuring our peers carry out our mission and vision within the community.

Corren Johnson
Financial Assistant

I am a lifelong resident of Cecil County, born and raised in Elkton. I am a very proud Mom to 2 wonderful sons. I joined Voices of Hope back in 2020, because of their commitment to supporting individuals in their recovery journeys in our community. I saw that they had the same  belief that I had in the transformative power of community and compassion.  I have always been passionate about helping others, especially mom’s, find their path to recovery and stability. Voices of Hope stands out as an organization that truly embodies these values, providing essential services and persistent support to those in need. The opportunity to be part of such a dedicated team, making a tangible difference in people’s lives, is both an honor and a privilege. Every day, I am inspired by the resilience and strength of our community members, and I am proud to contribute to an organization that fosters hope, healing, and positive change.
